Arrests follow Yangebup death

A man and woman wanted for questioning over the alleged murder of a 25-year-old man in a Yangebup home have been arrested.

Homicide detectives are questioning a 28-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman.

Police said on Saturday they were looking for the pair, who allegedly left the Bonito Place property in a red sedan after the man was critically injured on Friday night.

Details of their arrest have not yet been released.

A murder inquiry was launched after police and paramedics found the 25-year-old, whose name has not been released, with significant injuries at the Bonito Place home and they were unable to revive him.

A nearby resident had called triple-zero about 9.45pm after hearing screams for help and the noise of a fight, which is believed to have started inside the home and ended outside.

It is believed the trio were known to each other but had arrived at the home separately to visit the man who lives there.

Forensic officers have spent the weekend at the scene gathering evidence to try to determine what unfolded.

Anyone with information about the incident are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
