The fifth annual Truffle Kerfuffle will showcase some of WA's most-recognised culinary talent, with the complete line-up announced last week.

The event will be launched with a Hunt and Harvest gala dinner on Friday, June 26, followed by two full days of truffle hunts, truffle dog demonstrations, master classes, markets and entertainment at Fonty's Pool.

Food writer and SBS presenter Matthew Evans will take a break from his pig farm in Tasmania to demonstrate his cookery for the second time.

Mr Evans said the "terrific" festival would make for a memorable experience for all.

There will also be appearances from award-winning chefs including Vasse Felix executive chef Aaron Carr, East Perth's Co-op Dining owner-chef Kiren Mainwaring, and Nedlands' Pata Negra owner-chef and Manjimup trufferie owner David Coomer, among many others.

Truffle Kerfuffle president Gavin Booth said it was shaping up to be an "amazing" event.

"Matthew Evans is joining us for a second time and will appear alongside the WA talent that is making our food scene so exciting right now," he said.

"The chefs know what beautiful produce we have down here.

"They are excited to come down, cook and soak up the festival feel."

Truffle Kerfuffle celebrates the start of black truffle season in the Southern Forests region, where ideal growing conditions exist for the prized fungi, which is among the rarest and most expensive delicacies in the world.
