Protesters on Heirisson Island are expecting their camp to be demolished this morning.

It is understood protesters have been given until about 10am to move out of the area.

There were ugly scenes at State Parliament last week after police clashed with demonstrators protesting against the Barnett Government’s treatment of Aboriginal people across WA.

One man was arrested, several were charged and a police officer was knocked to the ground as tempers flared when about 150 protesters marched on Parliament House.
