Remains are missing prospector

Human remains found during a search for missing prospectors Jennie Anne and Raymond Keith Kehlet have been identified as belonging to Mr Kehlet.

Earlier this week authorities suspended the search for the couple who had been missing in the far northern Goldfields for more than three weeks.

The Kehlets, from Beverley, were last seen on March 22 but a search was not launched until days later when their dog wandered into a caravan park on the outskirts of Sandstone.

During the search, authorities found remains in a mine shaft near Sandstone and waited on the results of tests to identify the person.

The body was found by chance as police and State Emergency Service crews scoured old shafts near the north-western Goldfields town looking for Mrs Kehlet, 49, and her 47-year-old husband.
