Man charged over crash through bedroom

A man allegedly crashed a car through the bedroom of a house in Geraldton before reversing and driving off, say police.

Officers were called to a home in Stokes Lane, Spalding, around 8.40am yesterday after a vehicle had crashed through the front bedroom wall and window, causing extensive damage.

No one was hurt in the crash.

"It is alleged the driver of the vehicle reversed from the home after the crash and left the scene," a police spokeswoman said.

A 28-year-old Three Springs man has been taken into custody.

He has been charged with Reckless Driving (Dangerous to the Public or any Person); Driver Fail to Stop (property damage) and Driver Fail to Report an Incident in which Property was Damaged.

He has been summonsed to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court at a later date.
