Four quizzed over brawl

Police are investigating a big brawl in Northbridge that left three men injured in hospital and a restaurant trashed.

Three men and a woman were last night being questioned over the violence, which involved about a dozen people and was allegedly sparked by some drunken remarks.

As police scoured the streets for evidence to piece together what happened, a man on a skateboard allegedly breached the cordoned-off crime scene near the corner of William and Francis streets.

The 27-year-old, who was not involved in yesterday's brawl, was charged with obstructing public officers and the unauthorised entry of a protected forensic area.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw the fight, which happened about 6.30am.

Tables, glasses and pot plants at the 24-hour U & I cafe were allegedly used as makeshift weapons and damaged during the violence.

Three men, aged 34, 29 and 24, were treated at Royal Perth Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, including cuts. Two were discharged yesterday afternoon.
