Man hands himself in to face assault charges
A man has been charged after an alleged indecent assault in Kelmscott on New Year's Day.
The 18-year-old victim was walking from the Kelmscott train station towards shops on Albany Highway when a man pushing a bicycle started walking behind her.
He allegedly made comments about her appearance and then indecently assaulted her.
Yesterday a 23-year-old Maddington man handed himself into police after he saw a Crime Stoppers report about the incident.
He has been charged with unlawful and indecent assault and was bailed to appear in the Armadale Magistrate's Court on Friday, March 27.
