Ex-teacher on child sex charges
A former teacher appeared in court today after he was charged with child sex offences.
Shaun Tate has been charged with three counts of sexually penetrating a 15-year-old in July and October this year.
The 44-year-old was employed at St Mark’s Anglican Community School in Hillarys until October.
The charges are not connected to the school or its students.
Mr Tate applied for a bail variation in Perth Magistrate’s Court today so he could travel to the UK next month.
He is due to appear in court again in January.
