Emma Stone triumphs on Broadway

Hollywood actress Emma Stone has wowed audiences in New York City as she made her Broadway debut in Cabaret.

The actress has taken over the role of Sally Bowles from fellow Hollywood star Michelle Williams, appearing opposite Scottish actor Alan Cumming in the hit revival of the classic Kander & Ebb musical.

Stone, best known for her role in the Amazing Spider-Man movies, made her debut just days after her 26th birthday on November 6.

In the run up to the show, she received a good luck message from Neil Patrick Harris, who recently concluded an acclaimed run in the Broadway play Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

"Welcome to Broadway, Emma Stone! Can't wait to see your Sally Bowles in Cabaret-Musical, starting tonight. Break a leg. And a heart (sic)," he tweeted.
