Her larger-than-life persona suggest she should have been hitting up Perth's bars and clubs during her visit to WA last week.

But Miley Cyrus laid low, just venturing out of her hotel room to record new tracks at a local studio.

The 21-year-old spent Tuesday at Poons Head Studio in Fremantle to record songs for her next album, which she is also producing.

"We were doing three to four songs, with vocals. She got sent stuff over from LA. They're songwriting, so they were works in progress. I think they're going to be using those vocals, there were some great takes," Rob Grant, from Poons, said this week.

"Immediately, as soon as she opened her mouth, you could tell what a huge talent she was. Her vocal sound was fantastic. I've heard a million voices and she's got something, definitely."

Before flying out of Perth early Friday, Cyrus blew off some steam after the final show of her Bangerz world tour on Thursday night at Perth Arena.

The pop star celebrated the end of the nine-month trek by hanging out with her dancers, band, brother Braison Chance Cyrus and Lenny Kravitz's daughter Zoe who joined the tour with her band Lolawolf.
