Edwina eyes Eamon's eatery

When Sunrise weather presenter Edwina Bartholomew comes to Perth for Telethon this month, there's one local destination that she is particularly excited about visiting.

The bubbly blonde, who also co-hosts Dancing with the Stars, said she could not wait to dine at contestant Eamon Sullivan's Leighton Beach establishment, Bib and Tucker.

"I am really keen to check out Eamon's restaurant," Bartholomew told AAA.

"When we come over for Telethon we will definitely give it a shot."

The TV personality said the former Olympic swimmer was emerging as one to watch in the Seven show's early stages, calling him a "real surprise package".

"I think his competitive side has really started to kick in," Bartholomew said of Sullivan.

"He is going 'I really want to win this'. He got the guns out last week and he is super funny, he has such a great sense of humour. That's the best thing about the show - all these people have been in the public eye and then you get to know them on the show."

In addition to attending the Telethon charity weekend, which runs October 25-26, Bartholomew will also present the weather for Sunrise from WA on October 24.

Meanwhile, promos for DWTS have hinted that one of the contestants will likely depart the show during tonight's episode.

Titled "a dancing drama like never before", the clip suggests that a bad accident means "one star will be forced to eliminate themselves from the competition".

Rumours have so far pointed to Home and Away star Tai Hara as a possible casualty after he spoke of a nasty groin injury he suffered during early rehearsals.
