Whether your inclination is to embrace it, or brace for it, Neil Bennett has some simple advice.

Perth, says the Weather Bureau's regional manager, looks likely to be in for a warmer than average few months.

The bureau's three-month climate outlook says there is a 60 per cent chance spring temperatures will be hotter than normal in Perth, rising to 70 per cent further south.

It comes after Perth's second hottest September on record and an early taste of summer yesterday when the city temperature hit 29C at 2.42pm.

For Bayswater mum Cheree Skewes, whose children Kael and Abbey are on school holidays, the warm weather was simply an added bonus.

"We're down here for the beautiful weather," she said while her kids splashed around in Matilda Bay.

"The kids don't care. They'd be down here if it was 20."
