Opera star ready for Leeuwin
Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel and WA international soprano Rachelle Durkin will headline the annual Leeuwin Concert with the Perth Symphony Orchestra on March 7.
Bass-baritone Terfel, dubbed "a voice of the century" last performed at the Margaret River concert among the vines in 1999.
"I'm thrilled to be coming back to Leeuwin Estate for the concert in March," he said.
"I can't believe it's already 16 years since my last visit to the event."
Durkin was raised in suburban Maddington and is now a principal artist with The Metropolitan Opera in New York.
The concert will incorporate the traditional Leeuwin Marquee event.
