Kanye plays ball, Kim and North fly in

Kanye West might start keeping up with his famous wife Kim Kardashian in the selfie department.

Kardashian is infamous for her selfies, which entertain her 60 million social media followers on Twitter and Instagram while West is notoriously camera shy, especially when it comes to paparazzi.

But West posed with some loyal Perth fans as he drove out of Perth Arena after a sound check last night.

Ben Dunthorne shared his selfie with West on his Instagram account and said that he couldn't wipe the smile of his face.

And for an artist famed for his snarky attitude and tantrums revolving photographers, West even smiled in the photo and turned on the in car light in his black Mercedes to make sure the selfie turned out perfectly.

Dunthorne researched West's airport flight details to determine when the star would land in Perth.

The 19-year-old events management student from Joondalup told The West Australian he waited more than three hours at the airport to see the star so he could "get a photo with him and have a chat".

But it would be hours later after the sound check that Dunthorne would finally get his prized selfie.

After flying in from London yesterday afternoon, West headed straight to the Hyatt Regency hotel in Perth CBD before going to Perth Arena for a sound check.

This morning, West and his entourage surprised elderly gym goers by hitting up East Victoria Park's Leisure Life Centre for a basketball workout session.

West wore a white T-shirt, which showed off his physique, and a loose-fitting pair of black shorts as he worked up a sweat playing off against his entourage including support act, Pusha T.

A group of elderly ladies were seen on the adjoining court lifting light kettlebells and didn't appear to recognise the star.

Kardashian and the couple's baby North arrived in Perth tonight just in time for the first stop on West's Yeezus Australian tour tonight at Perth Arena.

"It's cool to bring him into my world when we're out here, and show him what I'm doing and I can go to Australia and go on tour with him," Kardashian told BBC Radio while in London this week.
