Labor MP Mick Murray says his family "is shattered" after one of his daughters faced a South West court this morning charged with serious drug dealing offences.

Bree Murray was remanded in custody after appearing in the Bunbury Magistrate’s Court charged with three offences relating to the alleged discovery of methylamphetamine, MDMA and cannabis worth an estimated $150,000.

Ms Murray, 35, did not enter pleas to two counts of possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and one count of unlawful possession.

Mr Murray - who represents Collie-Preston in the State's Legislative Assembly and is the shadow minister for regional roads; racing and gaming; forestry and the South West - said he and his family had been shattered by his daughter’s on-going struggle with drugs.

“My daughter has been fighting a 15-year addiction and we will continue to stand by her to give her the love and support she needs," he said.

“Like many other families, we have been touched by the terrible scourge of drugs.

“My wife Anna and I and my other (three) daughters are uniting and regrouping to do all we can to help.

“We appreciate privacy on this matter at this very difficult time.”

Police allege a search of a home in Oliver Street in East Bunbury yesterday uncovered about 101g of methylamphetamine, 125g of MDMA, 20g of cannabis and $1700 cash.

In a statement released this morning, police said a male resident of the address was still to be spoken to by officers.

Ms Murray will appear in court again on Tuesday next week, when the matter is listed for a bail application.
