Rocker Courtney Love has branded her upcoming memoir a disaster.

The Hole star has been penning the gritty details of her life story but the initial release date of 2013 has repeatedly been postponed.

Now she has revealed she never wanted to work on the book in the first place, and she refused to tell all about her recent years because she wanted to retain some privacy.

"It's a disaster. A nightmare. (It is) just not working . . . (I) never wanted to write a book in my entire life. It just sort of happened . . . It has to stop," Love told Paper Magazine.

"What happens from 2006 on in the book is my personal business. I've been discreet from that time on, and I want to keep it that way."

The memoir, titled Girl with the Most Cake, is expected to chronicle Love's battle with drugs and her doomed marriage to tragic Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain. No release date has yet been confirmed.
