Police suspect two armed robberies in Victoria Park on Sunday night were committed by the same offenders.

The first incident happened about 9.20pm when two men approached a parked car on Albany Highway, near the Victoria Park Hotel.

Wielding knives, the men opened the passenger side door and demanded the two female occupants hand over property.

When the women refused, the attackers reached in and stole a number of items before running off towards Kent Street.

About 40 minutes later, two men of similar descriptions tried to steal property from a woman walking along Albany Highway.

A man with the woman tried to stop the attackers and received a minor cut.

The two offenders are described as being in their late teens. One was wearing a white singlet and was holding a hooded jumper. The other offender was carrying a red hoody.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
