No film of killing: prosecutor

Prosecutors have revealed that an alleged jailhouse killing was not captured on CCTV - but the man accused of the assault may still face murder charges.

Robert Thomas Garlett, 19, is accused of assault causing the death of fellow prisoner Troy Allan Roginson at Wooroloo Prison Farm this year.

Police had previously revealed Roginson, who was classified as a minimum-security prisoner, was found unconscious with serious head injuries. He died the next day.

In court, prosecutor Linda Petrusa said autopsy and medical reports were still being compiled, which would determine whether Mr Garlett could face more serious charges. He is due to reappear in court in October.
