Australian tour for Beyonce/ Jay Z?

Beyonce and Jay Z have found themselves at the centre of more rumours but this time its not about the state of their marriage rather about whether or not they're coming Down Under.

A generic waitlist post on a ticketing website has started rumours that the couple are set to bring their On The Run tour to Australia.

An entertainment blogger on MusicFIX reported that a wait list for tickets to the couple's show had accidentally been posted to Ticketek.com.au.

However, the ticketing website offers this generic waitlist post as a tool to gauge interest in the artists and to see whether or not Australian audiences are willing to shell out their cash for tickets. It does not mean the particular artist is definitely headed Down Under.

It would be just as easy to start the rumour that Paul McCartney is coming back to Oz simply by typing his name in the waitlist search window.

For the moment, the Australian arm of the couple's touring company Live Nation, have refused to deny or confirm whether or not the Beyonce, Jay Z tour rumours are true.

When AAP asked if Live Nation would be touring the couple Down Under, a spokeswoman from the company refused to comment.

So, for the moment, it's all just hope and speculation that the couple will bring their On The Run tour to Australia.

But if the rumours generate more and more traffic to Ticketek, and numbers of interested parties increases, it's likely their touring company will cash in on their popularity and bring the couple to Australia.

Of course, all of this is dependant on whether or not the couple remain together long enough to tour.

The couple has been shrouded by break-up gossip since the infamous elevator bust-up between Jay Z and Beyonce's sister Solange in May.

While the family have put on a united front ever since, and Jay Z and Beyonce only just took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to pash in front of the world, nobody can really be sure what goes on behind closed doors.

The couple are due to take their tour to Paris next month. Perhaps the romantic city can solidify the couple long enough for them to agree to continue their tour Down Under?
