UPDATE: The driver who allegedly fled after crashing a luxury car through a wall in Burswood last night has contacted police.

Police confirmed the 2010 Porsche Panamera, valued at about $200,000, had not been reported stolen and the driver had contacted them today.

Emergency services were called to the crash scene at 9.55pm after the driver lost control of the car, mounted a footpath and crashed into a barrier fence and down a 3m ledge into a mulched section of a carpark on Bolton Avenue.

A passenger, who was unharmed, remained with the vehicle.

Debris from the crash - including the licence plate and parts of the guard railing - landed up to 30m away in the carpark.

Police said the debris damaged the side of a silver Mazda 2B hatchback that was in the carpark.

The driver and passenger of the Mazda were not injured.

It is understood the Porsche was written off.

The incident happened just south of Bow River Crescent, near Crown Perth.

All the airbags were activated as the car landed on all four wheels, with the front of the car extensively damaged.

The area around the Porsche remains cordoned off.

No charges have been laid but police inquiries are continuing.
