A 39-year-old woman was treated in hospital after a car reversed into her during a brazen robbery at a Karawara child care centre this morning.

The female staff member chased after the man when he stole a set of car keys from her handbag at Lady Gowrie Child Care facility on Lowan Loop about 7.10am.

The woman was knocked over as the thief reversed her 2006 Holden Viva hatchback out of the car park.

She received cuts and grazes and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

The man was last seen driving toward Walanna Drive.

He is described as being in his mid 20s, dark skinned with a goatee. He was wearing dark pants and possibly a beanie.

Anyone who sights the vehicle is asked to call Police on 131 444.
