Sia stays out of fame game

Australian singer and songwriter Sia has vowed to keep performing with her back to the audience because she doesn't like being famous.

The 38-year-old made sure her face was out of sight on Chelsea Handler's show Chelsea Lately this week, leaving only her recognisable blonde bob in view.

Handler pushed the Chandelier singer on why she's been keeping her identity hidden in recent performances, videos, and even the album cover for her new record, 1000 Forms of Fear.

"I don't want to be famous," Sia responded. "All my friends that I write pop songs for are super famous, and it really f…ed them up.

"And like, being hunted, paparazzi-style, doesn't appeal to me. I want to be able to get fat and pee on the side of the road."

Sia, who's laid low during the promotion of 1000 Forms of Fear, married filmmaker Erik Anders Lang this month at her California home.
