Toddler dies after falling from tractor
A two-year-old girl has died after falling from a tractor driven by her mother in the Pilbara.
Police are investigating after the toddler allegedly fell from the seat beside her 33-year-old mother as she drove on a dirt road at the entrance to Port Hedland Pony Club on Sunday.
The girl was taken to Hedland Health Campus but died from her injuries.
Friends of the family described the death as a tragic accident and are supporting the toddler's parents and her two older brothers.
It is understood several other children and adults saw the accident because they were all at a busy bee at the club.
Major crash investigators flew to Port Hedland yesterday morning to speak to the child's mother and witnesses.
