Girl, 17, seriously injured in crash

A teenage girl suffered serious injuries in a crash North Coogee last night.

Major Crash investigators have called for public help to piece together what happened in the lead-up to the incident.

The 17-year-old girl was a passenger in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer travelling north on Bennett Avenue about 8.30pm when the male driver, also 17, allegedly lost control of the car, which crashed into a tree and pole.

The driver was not injured but the girl was taken to Fremantle Hospital with serious injuries.



Crash witnesses sought


Major Crash investigators have called for the public’s help into a fatal crash in Kelmscott on Thursday.

An 85-year-old man was walking near the Good Shepherd Parish Centre on Streich Avenue about 7.20pm when he was struck by a white Toyota Camry sedan travelling north.

The victim, from Armadale, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Armadale-Kelmscott Hospital, where he died.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the Kelmscott and North Coogee crashes.
