Teen, 14, 'used replica gun in holdup'

A 14-year-old boy has received bail after he allegedly attempted to hold up a Gosnells service station with a replica handgun.

The balaclava-clad teenager tried to enter through the locked doors of the 24-hour Caltex on Corfield Street about 1am today.

The boy allegedly pointed a firearm at the attendant inside and demanded the doors be opened.

The attendant called police and several units, including the dog squad, were sent to the area where they found the boy at nearby Mills Road West.

The magistrate granted the boy bail but imposed a curfew banning him from being on the streets between 7pm and 7am unless he is with a parent.

He is due back in the Perth Children’s Court on August 29.
