Elderly man, dies in road crash

An elderly man has died after being hit by a car in Kelmscott last night.

The 85-ydear-old man was hit by a Toyota Camry on Streich Street, near Davis Road at about 7.15pm.

He was rushed to Armadale Hospital by St John Ambulance under priority conditions but died shortly after arriving.

Major Crash investigators were still trying to find the man's family last night and were speaking to witnesses to try and piece together how the man came to be hit by the car.

He is understood to have been alone at the time he was hit.
