WA actress to play Gina Rinehart
Perth's Mandy McElhinney has been cast as Australia's richest person Gina Rinehart in a new telemovie.
The actress, best known for playing Rhonda in insurance commercials, will play the WA mining magnate in the Nine Network's Gina vs Rose: The House of Hancock, which is set to begin filming this week.
The film will focus on the bitter dispute between Rinehart and her late father, the mining pioneer Lang Hancock following his marriage to his former maid, Rose.
Shooting will take place in Perth and Sydney over several weeks throughout September and air later this year.
