Hunt for Malaga gunman

A manhunt is underway in Malaga for a gunman after he reportedly dropped a weapon while fleeing a crash.

Workers in the area said they saw a Nissan Skyline crash into a parked car before the driver allegedly fled the scene.

The workers tried to chase the man down but when he dropped what looked like a black handgun they backed off.

The man then allegedly ran in a northerly direction along Midas Road.

Police, the dog squad and air wing are scouring the area, including industrial lots, for the gunman.

He is described as being 20 to 30 years of age and of Middle Eastern appearance and was wearing a hooded jumper with red sleeves.

Police are warning people not to approach the man. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
