Ada Nicodemou grieves stillborn son

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou and her husband are grieving the loss of their second son Harrison, who was stillborn.

Nicodemou and husband Chrys Xipolitas released a statement on Thursday announcing Harrison was stillborn.

"We appreciate your love and support as we mourn the loss of our precious son," they said.

"We respectfully ask for privacy at this difficult and extremely painful time so we can grieve and heal."

The couple welcomed their first child, son Johnas, in 2012 after enduring years of IVF.

Nicodemou, 37, confirmed in March she was pregnant for a second time after repeating the IVF cycle.

"For it to happen so quickly after we struggled for so long is a really nice surprise and we feel really, really lucky," she told New Idea magazine.

Nicodemou plays Leah on Seven soap Home and Away.
