Driver trapped as car rolls over in creek.

A 42-year-old Nollamarra man was stuck in his upside-down vehicle for up to 45 minutes after crashing into a creek in Ellenbrook this morning.

Police received a call at 5am and when they arrived at the scene heard a man calling out.

“We were called to a crash at Paperbark Place and Rivergum Close,” a police spokesperson said.

“On arrival we could hear a person calling out and we discovered there was someone inside the vehicle.”

Department of Fire and Emergency Services freed the man from his Hyundai Sonata.

According to media reports the man had been forced to hold his head above water for 45 minutes.

Saint John Ambulance took the man to Joondalup Health Campus with minor injuries.
