Home shakes as car ploughs into house

Occupants of a Rivervale home narrowly avoided injury this morning when a car ploughed into their home.

At 4.30am a car drove into the wall of a house on the corner of Alexander Road and Wicca Street, stopping within metres of a bedroom.

"The whole house shook," an occupant said.

A woman inside the home said she was lying in bed when she heard a screech and a crash.

The male driver in the car and his female passenger remained at the scene until police arrived.

According to residents the man passed a police breath test.
No one was injured in the incident.
