Road crashes keep emergency teams busy

Police and paramedics were called to the scene of a fatal crash along Goomalling Toodyay Road near Toodyay about 8.30pm last night.

Fire crews also attended the crash site to help free a male driver trapped in the wreckage, but he died at the scene.

Major crash are now investigating the incident.

MOTORBIKE CRASHES

In a separate incident in Perth’s northern suburbs, a 24-year-old man has been taken into questioning by police after he rolled his vehicle into the bush off Wanneroo Road in Nowergup.

Fire crews arrived at the accident just past 8pm and helped remove the driver from the wreckage.

Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

In Perth's south, a driver had to be cut from their vehicle after colliding with a pole along Patterson Road near Dixon Road in Rockingham.

Firefighters arrived at the scene about 8.30pm and spent close to 40 minutes working to free them from the wreckage.

St John’s paramedics tended to the driver, who received minor injuries.

The RAC Rescue helicopter attended two motorcycle crashes in southern WA yesterday afternoon.
