Police are searching for a man who attacked a 69-year-old woman in her driveway yesterday afternoon.

The Dudley Park woman had just parked her car in the driveway of her Creery Street home about 1.25pm and was getting out of the car when a man approached her from behind.

The offender grabbed the woman’s handbag from her shoulder and broke the strap.

He was seen running along Creery Street towards Stevens Street with the stolen bag.

The victim was treated for shock at Peel Health Campus.

The man is in his late teens to early 20s and has a medium build and curly black hair.

He was wearing a black top, shorts and shoes.
