Man admits installing toilet camera

A businessman who secretly placed a camera in a female public toilet on Forrest Highway has admitted 13 charges after appearing in court yesterday.

Andrew Mark Mynett, who will be sentenced in the District Court in September, was caught after his own picture was captured on the camera he secretly installed and his image was released by police to the public.

The 46-year-old pleaded guilty in the Perth Magistrate’s Court to 12 counts of indecently recording a child aged under 13 and one charge of recording a private activity to which he was not a party.

The court was told that Mynett runs a business which employs 15 people and a condition that he report to police five times a week was proving too onerous.

The condition was amended to require Mynett to report three times a week.
