Upton 'begged' for curves
She is revered for her enviable figure but Kate Upton has revealed she did not always look the way she does now.
The bombshell said she once "begged" for her now- famous curvy frame when she started out as a model.
"I was a normal catalogue model," Upton told the latest issue of Elle UK.
"Then, I became a woman and I was really excited about becoming a woman. Because I'm from Florida, it's all about being in bathing suits. It's a different view of beauty there.
"You are ugly if you don't have a curvy body. And I didn't have one; and then I got one and thought 'Yessss!' I've been begging for this body my whole life."
A regular in the pages of Sports Illustrated, Upton has recently made the transition to actress with a number of movie roles.
But the blonde said all the attention her body garnered through her work could be challenging.
"After my first Sports Illustrated cover, I felt terrible about myself for a solid month," Upton revealed.
"Every single guy I met was either married or about to be married and I felt like I was their bachelor present or something. I'm not a toy, I'm a human, I'm not here to be used and you need to figure your s… out."
