Bicycle gang attack teen

A teenager was injured after being attacked by a group of men riding bicycles earlier this month.

South West detectives are investigating the assault and robbery that occurred in Withers about 11.30pm on July 15.

The 17-year-old victim was walking along Parade Road, near the intersection of Knight Street, when he was approached by the men, police said.

Several of the men pushed the teen to the ground and assaulted him before stealing his mobile phone and money.

He suffered minor injuries in the attack.

The group - described as adults with dark skin - fled on the bicycles.

Police are calling for anyone who witnessed the attack to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
