Bayswater house fire causes $50,000 damage

A fire which started in a Bayswater house caused around $50,000 damage overnight.

A 29 year old woman was arrested last night and has since been released without charge.

Police and fire and emergency services were called to the house fire on Headley Place, Bayswater, around 8.40pm.

A police spokeswoman said it was is believed the fire started in a bedroom of the house which was unoccupied at the time the fire

started.

Arson Squad detectives will return to the address today to continue their investigation into this arson.
