Woman on run after police chase

Police are searching the Caversham area for a woman believed to have been involved in a number of burglaries early this evening.

The woman was last seen running into bushland near the corner of West Swan Road and Reid Highway in Caversham.

She was the passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a police pursuit.

The car was eventually stopped in its tracks when officers deployed stingers on Reid Highway, forcing the car into nearby bushes.

The male driver was apprehended by police shortly after but the woman evaded capture.

She is described as being fair skinned, with long brown hair and in her mid-20s. She was wearing grey tracksuit pants, and a blue long sleeved shirt.

Anyone who sees the woman is asked to call police on 131 444.
