Meekatharra assault victim dies

A Meekatharra woman has died from injuries she sustained in an alleged domestic incident last week.

Police found the 38-year-old woman unconscious in her Queen Road home on Wednesday afternoon.

St John Ambulance paramedics administered CPR before the woman was taken to Meekatharra Hospital and eventually airlifted to Perth via the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

She died from her injuries on Saturday in Royal Perth Hospital.

A 36-year-old Meekatharra man appeared in Carnarvon Magistrate's Court on Friday charged with grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Meekatharra Magistrate's Court on July 30.
