Charges after teen stabbed in Cue

A teenager is in a critical condition after he was allegedly stabbed in Cue, 650km north-east of Perth, this morning.

Police were called to an incident at the corner of Austin and Patterson streets just after 2am.

An 19-year-old man received treatment for a stab wound at the local nursing post before being airlifted to Perth via the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

He is in a critical condition at Royal Perth Hospital.

A 20-year-old Wiluna man has been charged with unlawfully wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A Leonora man was also flown to Perth after police found him with a serious head injury about 6pm last night.

The man also had a burn to one of his knees. He is in a stable condition at RPH.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries is continuing.
