A man has died after crashing a motorcycle on a station in Port Hedland last night.

The man had been fishing with friends when the group headed back to the station's main residence at about 5pm.

At 6pm, the main had not returned and a family member went to search for him.

The man's body was found at about 6.30pm after an apparent crash.

An ambulance was called to the property but paramedics were unable to revive the man.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
