A driver has died after his utility hit a tree in Neerabup overnight.

The man's Holden Commodore ute left Wanneroo Road and hit a tree about 300m north of Flynn Drive shortly after midnight.

It is understood the man, aged in his mid-20s, was taken to Joondalup Hospital by St John Ambulance where he died shortly after arrival.

Police major crash investigators have called for anyone who was travelling on Wanneroo Road around the time of the crash, or who saw the man’s ute before the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
