Police have arrested a 19-year-old man wanted over the stabbing of another man in Balga yesterday.

The 21-year-old victim is recovering in Royal Perth Hospital after allegedly being stabbed several times during a dispute with a housemate.

A neighbour called paramedics after the victim ran to her front door covered in blood and pleading for help at about 2pm.

The neighbour said she could see stab wounds in his neck and arm.

Police launched a major manhunt last night and today arrested a man at an address in Balga.

No charges have been laid but police say the man is assisting with the investigation.
