Taxi hits pedestrian in Broome

A woman has been hospitalised after being hit by a taxi in Broome.

The taxi was travelling along Saville Street at 7.25pm on Monday when the 47-year-old woman ran into the middle of the road.

The driver of the taxi stopped to help the woman, who was taken to Broome Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the woman or taxi prior to the crash.
