Aussie WWE diva under arrest

She is Australia's only WWE Diva but Tenille Dashwood almost had her wrestling career stripped from her after she was charged with shoplifting in the US this week.

The Melbourne performer, who goes by the stage name Diva Emma, allegedly stole a $US21 ($22.40) iPad case at a Walmart store on Monday, local time, in Connecticut.

While Dashwood argued it was a mistake and she simply forgot to pay for the item when using a self-checkout machine, she was sentenced to perform community service to have the charge dismissed.

After the news broke, WWE appeared to let the 25-year-old go, wishing her well "in all her future endeavours". However, the following day it reinstated the star but said it would take "appropriate punitive action for her violation of the law".

Dashwood is expected to hit Perth Arena with a host of international wrestling stars for the WWE Live Tour on August 9.
