Early morning passengers have been left in darkness following a blackout at Perth Airport.

The blackout affected the domestic and international airports for several hours this morning, leaving the terminal buildings and car parks in darkness.

Power was restored to terminals one and three just after 5.45am, while the lights came back on at terminal two just before 6.

Staff are investigating the cause and flights are expected to be delayed by an hour.
