Breaking up on TV hard to do

Going through a break-up is not easy at the best of times but having a split play out in the public eye is another thing entirely, as Candy Stuart has discovered.

News broke of her break-up with partner of two years and House Rules teammate Ryan Pusic last week and the pair have been dealing with the fallout since, with questions arising as to what will happen to their Sydney home and Pusic being seen out with a mystery woman after the Seven show finished filming.

Though their elimination from the top three last night means that Stuart can now grieve in private, she told Access All Areas she was still reeling in the aftermath of the shock split.

"I am finding it really hard actually," the redhead confessed.

"It's not the outcome that I was expecting and it's just really hard when people are commenting and saying things when they have no idea what has really gone on behind closed doors.

"Then hearing about Ryan being with other women and seeing it, it was heartbreaking and really hurtful. I am sort of looking forward for this chapter to close so I can go on with my life.

"I've never lived on my own before and I am not used to being single, so it is something I am really trying to get used to but I will find my feet."

In a separate conversation, Pusic told AAA he knew something was wrong in his relationship with Stuart almost as soon as the reality competition started.

"We were going really well when it came to the renovations but our relationship probably needed more of a renovation than the houses we were working on," he said.

When it comes to what the NSW duo will do with the suburban home that was made over on the series, Stuart previously indicated it was up to Pusic as he is the primary owner of the property.

However, the electrician said he would make a decision with his former love in mind.

"We are still up in arms as to which way we are going to go, whether we sell it or not," Pusic said.

"But whatever decision Candy and I make, it will be a mutual decision and one that is best for both of us."

Meanwhile, Stuart revealed she was planning to escape her home country for the time being and chase a new adventure abroad.

"I am actually looking at going overseas at the end of the year and moving over to the UK," she said.

WA couple Carole and Russell Bramston will go head to head with Melbourne duo Adam Dovile and Lisa Lamond in one last challenge in a bid to have their mortgage paid out, with the House Rules grand finale airing on Sunday at 6.30pm on Seven/GWN7.
