Busselton crotch-biter refued bail

A 25-year-old woman who twice allegedly tried to bite a Busselton police officer’s crotch has been released on bail.

Brooke Harding appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court yesterday on two counts of assaulting a public officer and one charge of obstructing police.

It is alleged she bit a male Senior Constable on the hand at Busselton Police Station after being arrested at McDonald’s early Wednesday morning.

Sen. Sgt Steve Principe claimed it was during a struggle with officers at the station that Ms Harding, of no fixed address, first tried to bite the Sen. Const’s crotch.

The second attempt occurred at Bunbury Hospital after Ms Harding allegedly scratched the same officer’s arm, drawing blood. She had been taken to the hospital for assessment but was deemed fit to be in police custody.

Sen. Sgt Steve Principe said Ms Harding was wanted on allegations of disorderly behaviour and a threat to injure at The Esplanade Hotel on Sunday.

All charges have been adjourned until July 22 when Ms Harding will appear in Busselton Magistrate’s Court.

The Sen. Const., 30, has undergone a blood test to check for communicable diseases
