Stewards took some of the edge off reinsman Kyle Harper's celebrations after his win with All Aussie Boy in last night's $100,000 Westbred 2YO Colts and Geldings Classic (2130m) at Gloucester Park.
Harper was fined $300 for having breached whip use rules when driving-out All Aussie Boy in final stages of the Group 1 event.
Reinsman Harley Matthew copped a four-week suspension after his drive Ballas Arockstar ran unplaced in last night's Cable Joining Supplies Pace (2130m).
"Ballas Arockstar faded after being taken three-wide when he was two laps from the finish," steward Rhys Chappell said.
"Harley Matthew was charged with having driven in an unacceptable manner.
"Reinsman Peter Tilbrook received a 17-day suspension for a breach of driving rules."
A striking proposal for a surf park at the edge of the Swan River could elevate Perth’s connection to the water and generate a new wave of surfing talent.
