Police probe Serpentine mum's death
Police are investigating the death of a young mother at her family’s Serpentine home.
Paramedics were called to the South Western Highway property about 5pm on Thursday but the woman was dead.
It was reported as a self-harm incident but major crime squad detectives are helping Rockingham detectives and local officers investigate whether the circumstances are more sinister.
It is believed the woman’s partner, a friend and the couple’s children were at home at the time of her death and one of the two men called for help.
Police have released few details about the incident.
But it is understood officers were concerned by the violent nature of her death, the fact that it happened when her young children were home and her age.
